Appointments

The surgery operates an appointment system and we endeavour, whenever possible, to give an appointment with the doctor with whom the patient is registered or regularly consults.

In response to patient suggestions we changed our appointment system in July 2010.

Routine GP appointments can be pre-booked up to two weeks in advance.

We offer emergency appoiontments each day which are reserved for patients presenting with new urgent problems.

Nurses appointments may be booked up to four weeks ahead.

Routine appointments are for 10 minutes and it is not normally possible to cover more than one or, at the most, two items per appointment.

Surgeries are generally from 8.30am to 12.30pm and 3.00pm to 6.00pm Monday to Friday.

The practice phone lines are off between 13:00 and 14:00 daily. If you phone during this time you will be transferred to the Out of Hours service.

Home Visits

Patients are asked to telephone before 10.00am if a visit is required that day.

Emergency visits only will be arranged after that time. Please give the receptionist as much information as possible to enable the doctor to allocate priority to home visits.

Please attend the surgery if at all possible.

Routine GP appointments for Monday 12th December onwards are now available to book online.

You can book appointments that are within the next two weeks.

You will need a username and password to book an appointment. If you have not already been issued these for repeat prescription ordering purposes then please bring in a form of photo identification to obtain your username and password from reception.

Parents/guardians can obtain the username and password for their children under 16 years of age by bringing in a form of their own (the parent/guardian's) identification.

You may obtain the username and password for a housebound relative/friend by bringing in a form of that friend/relative's photo identification.
